Jingle Bells for Jinda

Ho, Ho……….ho?
Yeah, we know. Christmas is the last thing on your mind. The economy is in crisis, you’re worried about your mortgage/pet/pension/stockbroker. And it’s only November. However, the festive season is looming, and with it come those niggling feelings of guilt about getting a real tree, not recycling your wrapping paper, or omitting to get charity Christmas cards. But what if there was an easier way to be saintly?

Well there is. Jinda Home of Safety’ is a very special, small charity, and registered NGO, whose primary function is the care and placement of AIDS orphans into a loving and stable home environment. Situated in the North-eastern province of South Africa, Jinda currently consists of  a crèche, school, soup kitchen and orphanage. As you can imagine, Christmas is a difficult time in an orphanage and we would appreciate any small gifts you could donate for the children. Simple gifts like books, clothes and toys would have a big impact. Get a warm glow this year from doing your bit for charity!

Bongani picture
Bongani has been an inspiration to us all. He came to us 3 years ago when his father died of AIDS. We were contacted by his father the night before he died, but he was too weak to speak to us about his children. Bongani's mother is an alcoholic and a glue addict, and had abandoned her children altogether. Bongani was introduced into one of Jinda's homes run by a foster mother who has been screened and approved by a qualified Social Worker. He has since developed a strong bond with his foster mother and his positivism and exuberance inspire us to do more.

Finally, lets talk about the pointer date hand. Whether it's rolex replica or silver coloured, the pointer date hand comes with a red curved end that points to the date on the outer rim of the rolex replica. However, on the 40mm case the pointer date end piece is slightly curved, forming a quarter circle, whereas on the smaller cases the end piece forms the shape of a rolex replica sale. I much prefer the horseshoe shape as it, in my opinion, highlights the date more clearly. Why rolex replica sale chose to use a different shape on the largest casing I don't know but I wish it hadn't. I really like the rolex replica uk. My preferred piece from this collection would be the 40mm silver guilloche case and black leather strap - despite my reservations about the use of rolex replica sale. The big case just carries the big crown better.
