Jingle Bells for Jinda Ho, Ho……….ho? Yeah, we know. Christmas is the last thing on your mind. The
economy is in crisis, you’re worried about your
mortgage/pet/pension/stockbroker. And it’s only November. However, the festive season
is looming, and with it come those niggling feelings of guilt about getting a
real tree, not recycling your wrapping paper, or omitting to get charity
Christmas cards. But what if there was an easier way to be saintly? Well there is. Jinda Home of Safety’ is a very special,
small charity, and registered NGO, whose primary function is the care and
placement of AIDS orphans into a loving and stable home environment. Situated
in the North-eastern province
of South Africa, Jinda
currently consists of a
crèche, school,
soup kitchen and orphanage. As you can imagine, Christmas is a
difficult time in an
orphanage and we would appreciate any small gifts you could donate for
the
children. Simple gifts like books, clothes and toys would have a big
impact. Get a warm glow this year from doing your bit for charity! Donations collected by: Ms

Bongani has
been an inspiration to us all. He came to us 3 years ago when his
father died of AIDS. We were contacted by his father the night before
he died, but he was too weak to speak to us about his children.
Bongani's mother is an alcoholic and a glue addict, and had
abandoned her children altogether. Bongani was introduced into one of
Jinda's homes run by a foster mother who has been screened and approved
by a qualified Social Worker. He has since developed a strong bond with
his foster mother and his positivism and exuberance inspire us to do
more.
